Storms
Have you ever watched a storm?
Like,
really
watched a storm?
Have you ever sat
wrapped in a blanket
In a garage with an open door,
And watched a storm?
Watching the rain coming down so hard,
It stung your skin?
Watched the pouring rain obscure your view,
With a sheet of white?
Thunder loud enough to startle you,
Make you jump and leave your spot near the door?
Sitting, wishing that moment never ended?
Wishing that you could flee from your current hardships
And return to that storm?
Because for just a moment,
Everything seemed alright.
For just a moment, you were okay,
And nothing could change that.
Have you ever watched a storm?
