Goodbyes
Everyone always tells you how fast these last days go,
Your last days of high school,
And of everything you know.
As everyone leaves,
And you all say goodbye
You watch it all happen, and try not to cry.
All those green gowns walking away,
up the stairs, then far away.
Maybe not in distance, but certainly in time,
So when you walk the stage, be sure to take your time.
