Pushed Down
There is a person held against her will
In a land of peace and tranquility
She wants to be free
But gets pushed down
Always
She always gets pushed down.
She is carefree
And wants the feeling to spread
She wishes to gift others with her positivity
But she can’t
She doesn’t know why
She’s not fearful
Maybe
Maybe she’s not fearful
She wants to escape
To touch lives
To touch my life
But I push her down
She always gets pushed down
Sometimes I can feel her
She’s trying so hard
She just wants to escape
To spread peace and tranquility
To make me joyous and content
But I can’t let her.
I don’t know why
Even though I want to
I can’t let her
What if I become blissful
What if I feel peace
What if she infects me with her happiness
That would be bad
Right?
Maybe not
Maybe I should let her escape
Let me escape
But I can’t
So I am pushed down
I am always pushed down
