17 Flowers
The day of Valentine
A beautiful hour
But it quickly turned sour
Within a few hours
It was the last day
when a boy saw his girl
Or when a little sister saw
Her sister’s power
They lost a loving teacher
Who protected his students
And yet we still argue
If they should get ammunition?
17 flowers
17 lives
Their dreams, hopes and ambitions
Withered like time
Who was it to blame,
The man
The school,
Or our system?
What is it to do
Arm the teachers?
Take away our arms?
Whatever we do,
It is our power
To the students of Parkland
We may not be able to give empathy
But we stand with you
And hold our stems for the flowers that died
To the students of America,
We must fight for what is right
Whatever we think makes our
Nation stronger
To our politicians
Making our laws
Decisions must be made wisley
To see betterment in our cause
The day of Valentine
A beautiful hour
But it quickly turned sour
Within a few hours
