The Darkest Night
When you see nothing, I am there.
When you see everything, I am there.
When you see the moon, I am there.
When you see the sun, I am there.
When the world is ending, I am there.
When the world is falling, I am there.
When the world is beginning, I am there.
When the dinosaurs are sleeping, I am there.
When you are sleeping, I am there.
I am your worst nightmare,
And your best dream.
I will be here when the world is not.
I will be here when no one else is.
I will be here for you,
When you are not.
I will be the light that shines through your eyes,
And the dark that pierces through your mind.
When all is gone, I am there.
When all is done, I am there.
When nothing else but God and the heavens and such exist, I will be there.
I will be there, waiting.
The darkest night approaching the lightest day,
Becoming the lightest day,
And then becoming the darkest night yet again,
And the cycle continues.
Darkest day, brightest night.
Brightest day, darkest night.
Two so different, but so the same.
I will be here, waiting.
I will be the darkest night and lightest day,
Waiting for the right time,
To consume time.
