What is Beauty?
You will look better if your hair was longer,
If your lashes and lips were fuller,
If your figure was skinnier
Maybe if you went on a diet
If you didn’t have that sprinkled donut yesterday
Your face isn’t what boys want
Your body isn’t in great shape
It doesn’t matter how pure your heart is on the inside
You have to look like those models on the magazine
You have to have blond hair, zero freckles, and bluer eyes
Take better care of your cratered skin
Get a fake tan so you are not a ghostly white
You need to look better
You are ugly
You are ugly
Why are you so ugly?
Maybe I should be easier on myself

I feel the piece reflects how many teenagers feel about themselves. Everyone feels they need to fix something about themselves but at the end of the day, they are perfect. They need to realize that nothing needs to change and they walk with internal and external beauty every day.
