I Am Your Best Friend
I am your best friend
At least I have faith I am
Wondering if you ever realize
The tremendous things I’ve accomplished
The lies and your dishonesty sink into my body
Accompanying the secrets you promised not to share
I perceive with my eyes how you desperately laugh
At the things that are certainly false
I want this stinging pain to fade away
And for once speak up for throbbing heart
Ball and chain
Feeling like your hostage
I slowly began to acknowledge
I am your best friend
I prosper the image of how you feel
When I declare my words to you
I want you to love me
Just the way I love you
The thoughts in my brain make me feel deceived
The excuses that slip from your aching lips
I wish you could see deep within
All the madness and anger
Boiling from the bottom of my heart
I worry that one day
When the sun rays cut through the clouds
We will no longer be a bond
Glistering heavy drops form for the memories that are lost
The moments that can no longer be alive
I want to hate you
But my heart can never place you in that list
Even though your heart wont desire me
I am your best friend
I understand the prodigious things you’ve done for me
And why you continue to do them
Thankful for the words implanted in my heart
And the consequences that came within
I dream of an ideal friendship
One we could never achieve
I strive to heal the problem
it’s standing right in front of me
Just like oil and water
We never crossed our paths
I hope we stay as best friends
Despite the disagreements and obstacles in our route
My heart can not bare to lose such marvelous soul
Granted the hardships we’ve outlived
My heart desires you to recognize
I am your best friend

I had a lot of time to think while writing this poem, and I enjoyed the time I spent working in this It made me open my mind, and look at different things.
