The Moment
Everyone keeps saying "seize the moment"
But I think they have it twisted
I think the moment seizes us
I think the moment abandons us somewhere we hadn't anticipated
It wouldn't be the worst thing to ever happen
The moment moves so quickly
Everything is constantly in motion
Blink and it's gone
Leaving you with only your memories
if you focus you can feel it
"Can you feel it?"
You may not understand why I'm in such a hurry
But if you could see what I see, you'd be in a hurry too

I've had a couple of tumultuous months and life feels like it's moving really quickly right now. I suppose this poem embodies a bit of my thoughts about this. I feel like people move in and out of my life at the speed of lightning, and it makes me kind of sad because you only get one shot at life. By the time I know what I should've said or done it's too late; I guess that's just life though. Anyways that's what this is about.
