I Met the Devil at the Store
I met the devil at the store and
As he browsed through the aisles
I saw him add candles to his cart
And wondered if the fires of hell weren’t
Bright enough
I met the devil at the store and
As he asked where the
Matches were, I wondered if
His fiendish aides sometimes
Tired him
I met the devil at the store and
At the checkout, his card was declined.
I said “no problem” and covered it
He told me he owed me
A favor
