The Worst of the Best

And perhaps the worst part of it all,
is that love is too fleeting.
What is a moment, what is a day, what is 50 years,
To two people, mystified within one another?
Such a disgrace to put a time limit on that which we wish would permeate through eternity.
No matter; unto death, we shall cry out into the night
and let the echoes of lovers’ farewell caress the ever-extending walls of oblivion.
