Forceful

They tell me to light this mic aflame.
But I do not breath fire.
If you know someone that does please give them my number
Cause I really need something new to taste.

They scream at me from a stage.
Expecting me not to fall.
Cause distractions don't exist if there is only one person paying attention.

They hand me the standards on a silver  platter when truly we need that silver to kill our demons.
Cause that fake fork just won't do.

They whisper to us guessing that we can hear.
When in reality I am deafened by my own heavy breathing.
Deafened by the squealing of my heart stopping in my chest.
Deafened by the silence of my own words.

I scream at you from all the way up here hoping that you aren't deaf like me.
Hoping that you don't hear the thudding bang in my head of the owners trying to ask for rent.
Hoping that you ignore the tapping of my foot keeping time of how many breaths I'm taking cause the doctors say it's becoming a problem.
Hoping that maybe you'll talk over my gibberish cause between you and me.
That waterfall of bs hasn't stopped in 13 years and just in case you are wondering I'm only 14.

As I'm standing up here spilling my brain onto the floor.
My wasted breath into your needed air.
I am trying to make you understand my hand motions and my open mouth.
I am hopefully making you understand my faulty words and also the repeated ones.

You can't see me from so far but I will describe myself.
I forgot my chapstick at home and with every word I belt, a new crack appears.
My hair hasn't been washed in 3 days but that's just because I'm lazy.
My fingertips are in pain because autocorrect wasn't working with me.
My mind is mush from hammering out these words I speak to you so that maybe they'll take me somewhere.
Cause this is all I know how to do.

Don't take me for granted because I promise that I will change your mind.
