Before You Take A Sip
poison.
poison the mind,
the body,
and the soul.
poison feels good.
heat burning your tongue
fire scorching your throat
lava churning in your stomach.
even before it takes hold
before the incessant anger
hatred
it changes
you
abuse of poison
poison abusing you
when you pick up that bottle
you know what you are doing
when you bring it to your lips
you want to see your world
burn
set your body on fire
watch it spread
until the house is crumbling
sparks flying
illuminating the anger
in your
eyes
poisoning yourself before you
take
a
sip
