Leaving Behind
In the meadow,
She cries for her love lost in the tragedy,
His lady laying above him,
She screams out for her love,
For him to return to her lively,
Alas, he never comes to calm her mind,
Instead, he lay still and cold,
As the ground consumes him,
His soul ascends to the heavens above,
Fading away his lady goes,
Leaving her in sorrow,
The light in her eyes is no more,
Her hair dull,
Smile has gone,
She wanders the earth,
Looking for another,
Never able to look past,
Past the love she once had.

When I went through a rough breakup I wrote this. I felt like he had died and left me alone. I loved him, I truly did. He broke it off and I felt so broken. I wrote this poem to vent out and release all of the emotions I had built up. I felt I lost the love of my life. I felt that I would never be the same again. Truth be told I am not. I am different. In many ways. I have grown since then.
