The Black Panther
The Black Panther
On a Journey different from all the others
Inside the jungle feeling completely alone
My fur, My skin different from everyone elses
They’re all spotted
Yet I am Black
But my fur feels the same it’s even as soft as theirs
So are we really all that different?
If you have spots, stripes, or prints
You’re the grandeur of the jungle
And all the other animals follow you
No one even wants to be around you if you aren’t spotted, striped, or printed
It’s like they’re prowl and I’m their prey
It’s something I’ve struggled with my entire life
My hope to be accepted has withered away like grass during the winter
It’s so lonely being a solid color
It’s So Lonely being black
It’s SO LONELY being a black panther
