Crushing
You're deserted and alone,
Her smile was a glimmering gold nugget, now buried away in your sea of revenge.
Left in the deep to go sour,
Rotting.
Bitterness overtakes your every thought,
She’s the reason you’re hidden away down here,
Trapped beneath a rock at the bottom of a trench,
Immersed in your loneliness and hatred,
Drowning.
Now you face a futile end,
As you thrash about in anger that slowly turns to fear.
You realize that, through what felt like an eternity of hate, you never meant any of it.
That you just wish she was here right now,
And finally the pressure, that weight, comes down on you,
Crushing.
