Regret
I regret suppressing how I truly felt
About you at the moment,
Reassuring myself
That the universe will subliminally
Determine our fate together.
I regret not holding you longer
When you would confess your perspicuous emotions,
As if we would host sessions
And you could confide in me
To listen to everything that went wrong in your days
And share my opinions.
I don’t regret
Getting to know your emotional side--
That makes you who you are;
The reason I would spontaneously stop
At a red light and make you drive--
Our every reason to feel alive
Just to wake you up
And prove how young our nights can be,
Regardless of a sunrise.
