I Wish
I wish.
I wish things were different,
anything but what they are now.
I wish I looked different,
like the flawless people in magazines,
with their rosy pink skin,
and their glowing golden hair.
I wish I acted differently,
like the people on tv,
who know the right things to say
and the right things to do.
Things would be easier,
but things are the way they are:
I look the way I look.
I act the way I act.
I guess it’s just some stupid teenage phase.
