Golden Hour

My favorite time is golden hour,
My whole house glows,
Iridescent.
The dining room fills
With blinding honey-colored rays.
The aged window panes
Bend the incoming light,
Creating rainbows on the walls of my porch.
The trees in my yard seem to bask
In this glorious glow.
The river glistens
Rose colored glasses ascend,
Hiding the towns cracks and flaws
Everything appears beautiful.
