You pick me up
Pull me out of the ground
Kill me
But to add on to that
Because that’s not enough
You have to blow me away
You do it to benefit you
So you can wish something that won’t come true
I fly away into the abyss
Not continuing to grow
Just so that you
So that you could make a wish
Just one silly wish.

This piece, is something I wrote over the summer for my creative writing class. I wrote it while out in nature on a trip with my friends. After blowing away a dandelion, I thought about how that resembles many peoples relationships.
