I’m from the passionate flag football events, playing until my face is a swimming pool.

The wins making me a king, losses making me a fool.

I’m from running in the hallway and throwing milk cartons, creating every so often talks with the principal.

The funky, foul smelling lunches lingering throughout the cafeteria.

I’m from the kickball games, on the black, burning pavement.

The games of king of the hill in the white, powdered snow.

I’m from the cold, chilly basement, creating memories.

The slip n’ slide down the hill south of my house.

I’m from the welcoming of home, east and west.

The time spent hermitting in my heavenly room.

I’m from being absorbed by care, comfort and charisma.

The friends that will forgive and forget no matter what.

I’m from family, supplying endless support and sacrifice.

The past pleasures and the future freedom.

I’m from an elighting childhood, creating a concrete road to my future.

I will be from a path of success and satisfaction,
