Hartland, WI
I’m from Hartland where when one drives by another see families outside talking, people running through the streets, and kids biking with their friends.
I’m from a fun family that work,
people who show how to sing and dance while cleaning,
people who come home after work tired, still ready to prepare food for the rest,
people who act busy,
busy like ants.
I’m from my brother acts as exceptional as a snowflake, extraordinary and disabled;
from a determined, dedicated, dauntless sister;
from two hard-working, caring, protecting parents.
I’m from a house that screams,
from a backyard that slithers with silence
from a neighborhood like a rainforest.
I’m from a cordial, caring community,
Loyal friends, there if you need a shoulder to cry on,
people who hold doors open for you-
saying “hello, how are you?” as one passes by.
I’m from Hartland where when one drives by another see families outside talking, people running through the streets, and kids biking with their friends.
