Where I'm From
I’m from a red bricked house, with cream colored, siding,
A miniature goldendoodle dog in the backyard
Blue toyota in the garage waiting for a purpose
From a noisy house filled with the sound of a trumpet,
screeches filling the house of noisy instruments
Now a noiseless house filled with utter silence
I’m from 3:30 pm on April 16, 2017
When a hospital visit was required
Telling myself not to worry
The disease that would change my eating habits,
for the remainder of time
The one called ulcerative colitis
I’m from having to take five pills a morning
Rushing to get to the bus in the morning
Homework at the dusk of the night
At the end of the night I’m still from that same red bricked house
A miniature Goldendoodle dog in the backyard
A Blue toyota in the garage waiting for a purpose
