The Broken Heart

My family is a broken heart
but not in the way that you might think.
My mom
is the muscle
that keeps the family strong,
independent,
and powerful.
My dad
is the crack in the middle
that breaks us in half because he doesn’t care about nobody but
Himself.
My sister Alex
is the veins going through the heart
letting it beat
giving us support
like keeping us smiling and gets us going.
And then me I’m just the pericardium that tries to keep the family together
but it break’s and I fail.
