Pretty Girl

Pretty Girl

Does everyone see what I see

everyone sees a pretty girl

But I see much more

I see a girl who cries herself to sleep

I see a girl who works a parttime job to feed herself and he little sister

I see a girl working hard for a scholarship because she knows she can afford college

People just see the surface

But inside you  are broken and insecure

No one understands because they all believe you are

Perfect

But no one perfect not even the pretty girls

Procrastination rules the nation!

Thank you for posting this. It shows how appearances are not everything, and people can never really know what is going on in someone's life. I love this poem! Please keep writing more!
