Standing out among the bright liquidy color,

A yearning heartfelt face pokes out.

It’s body shaped like a ball,

Knowing it’s done wrong,

Curled up and asking for piety.

In the center of the room

It waits

Not wanting it’s master to come back in.

The redness of the sofa continues to drip

The smell continues to rot and thicken

The taste in the cat’s large moth bitter and dangerous, all the more exciting.


He is finally there.

And much to his disappointment he sees the cat.

He simply stares.

Regretting leaving her alone with the animal.

Forgiveness was not given.
