brochure on eden
Down wound ways and cold grey
Concrete meant for footsteps
Of man with ice seeped in bone
Torpid passion who lines lungs
Rattles joints at an inhale.
An orchard ripe as the moon
Drapes her milky gossamer on streets
Littered with their scatter
Of rusted tongue and crescent indent
Burrows in breathless regret.
