Pursuit of Happiness
It was in the moments the skyline vanished
the quiet glimpses of nature behind the scenes
the soft strokes of velvet green coming to a halt
the lily pads boarding upon the rocky pebbles
It was in the height of the clouds
the adrenaline of a rising altitude
the stretch of matter seeming almost inspiring in its continuum
the surreal sense of purpose
It was in the peak of restless nights out
the unwavering smiles as we collided into a hug
the excitement that flooded our fleeting hearts
the anticipation for great memories to follow
It was in the sensation of hope
the sly smirks and childish jitters
the relatable interests and intelligence
the unavoidable coincendences,
the unexpected yet cherished momental aspirations
It was in the opportunity of a fresh start
the possibility to surround oneself with a foreign world
the idea of belonging to more places than one
the joy of living a new adventure
It is now in a profound reflection,
an understanding of the unknown ways of life
and an appreciation for what is present...
It is now not only a point to live, but to leap
to love
to learn
to grow
with an imagination far wider than thought possible.
It is now a transformation from what could of been
to the faith in what is supposed to be.
