Skeletons of Winter
Two Mondays ago the trees were hungry
Leaves turning as they ran out of time

Ground littered with leaves in low supply
This Monday the trees have been reborn Into skeletal mirrors of their past life
And thus for this fall the cycle ends
And winter is fresh in my mind
