Empty words,

crumpled up,

strewn aside,

left to die.

While the writer’s brain

is hard at work,

and the battery

slowly

drains.

Steady hands

trace ink black curves.

Her head a factory

of unsaid words.

But the lightbulb of thought

is flickering out,

and the battery

slowly

drains.
