Favorite Quote:
An old man told his grandson, "There is a fight between two wolves inside of us. One is bad-- it is lust, pried, and lies. The other is good-- love, caring and humility." The boy thought for a moment and asked, "Which one wins?" "The one you feed."

I do not love in moderation;

I give with all my wretched heart--

it yearns and starves in cold stagnation

and lights the fire of summer star

I know not fraction in my ardor,

my heart is far too well in verse

and knows the limits of my fervor

when fervor in itself is curse

I cannot give my heart in pieces,

yet that is how it comes returned;

I do not love in moderation,

my lesson is one never learned.

What initially was to be a reflection of the power of love and my seeming inability to love something "a little bit" without loving it "too much" soon became a quiet understanding of why heartbreak is now something, once jarring, that now remains me unshaken.
