A soul so pure
Yet her demons prevented a cure
Her hidden illness led to an eternal stillness
She was happy they thought for sure

Fourteen years in
Her life, just starting to begin
Lately she’s been fighting with her demons
They’re starting to win

She weeps and wallows
Her mind is filled with so much fear
Trying to escape her dark shadow that follows
Soon she’ll be trapped in the darkness’ swallows
Her friends and family still unaware her end is near

A beautiful girl with a future untold
Her parents minds unable to unfold
Why their princess went away
Before her hair had a chance to turn gray
