I made you fall in love with me
But I cheated
I met all your loved ones
But I cheated
I got down on one knee
But I cheated
You smiled for all the gifts I gave you
But I cheated
You laughed at all the jokes I told you
But I cheated
You walked down the aisle and said “I do”
But I cheated
We went on our honeymoon
But I cheated
I told you I loved you
But I cheated
When that test was positive I was ecstatic
But I cheated
I knew I wanted to be a different person for our child
But I cheated
I finally told you
That I cheated
You lost the baby
Because I cheated
We divorced
Because I cheated
If you love someone, you don’t cheat

This was a short little thing I put together at midnight on a Tuesday. I was thinking about ideas for writing topics and wanted to jot this down for reference in the future. Please give good feed back, or bad. I take it all. This is repetative, but thats how it is supposed to flow. PLEASE dont skip the repeating words. You get the full effect when you read everything. If you want to read it a different way, skip the repetative parts. It gives the ballad a new form.
