Actually, the best life you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures....

"I hope you die in hell..."
came a voice
" I hope you live with regrets and resentments."
was my reply of choice
I walked up the stairs hurriedly
Small stockinged feet at night
One step at a time
With no visible delight!
I opened myself to my room
And closed myself to the world
The red door felt an earthquake rattle
To an angry version, it morphed
Then it witnessed my madness
All in full bloom
Paints, brushes, ink and notebooks
All over the room
"I hate that snake tongued girl!
I hate that I'm stuck with her!
I hate her giggles and pretense!
I hate her pretty self without so much of a scar!"
The door looked on...
It probably echoed the words clear
Little did I know that
They were for me to hear...
It spoke of the pain it felt
On colliding with the wall
And its marked face and hide
That disgraces us all
I remained buried in my own misery
As I hitchhiked on the road
I noticed the bonfires outside
But remained oblivious to the cold
Night came too soon
For me to get past the ugly squabble
I was tucked into my bed safely
As I kept on rewinding the babble...
The room was dark
The door stood listening
I fell into a slumber
Evidenced by my slow breathing
The red door was still seething inside
Suddenly it noticed a tear roll down my cheek
It started thinking, what should I do?
Can I reach her with my knob?
Can I kiss those cheeks?
Maybe I could, given I could transform!
I know I can't, but let me try
Perhaps I might succeed in preventing her cry!
