Some people are cursed to save humanity

From destroying itself

I always felt bad for them

Having to stand in the middle of the  crossfire

Never having a chance to breathe freely

I am no superhero

But you are as heroic as it gets

You saved me from the chaos

That consumed my life

And the more you rescued me

The more I fell in love

But superheroes always have to fly away

And  we both knew you couldn't stay

But we just kept falling

Until you decided to take off your cape

And drape it over me

To keep me warm in the bitter cold

And so you could stay

Being with me moved you out of the way of the raging fire

For once I was the savior

I saved you

And you saved me

And we will always catch each other

Afterall, we are heroes of love
