Lonely Tavern
Take refuge in my heart dear traveller,
  I’m sure there’s room somewhere.
Lay your heavy bits and bags,
and take a rest right here.
Let me mend the patches of your  coat
and  brush your cheek while you sleep
Kindly hand me all your hopes
and I’ll weave them with your dreams.
No need to hasten your stay dear traveller,
  for I am lonely too,
and I can’t bear to remain in here
  without someone like you.
  So stay awhile longer
  until the clock strikes twelve
until the moon offers her milky hand
and the stars stir from their cells.
  Take her hand weary traveller
  and traipse upon her palm
trace an outline of the inky sky
  and write it into song.
And lastly all I ask of thee
  is to return back soon
make haste and don’t delay dear traveller,
I’ll be waiting here for you.
