The World Takes a Swing

The world hits me like a snow storm
Sending shivers through me
Hitting me like a bag of stones
Leaving black and blue bruises
The world takes another swing at me
Doing everything it can
Trying its hardest not to miss
My head starts to spin again
As the impact hits I take cover
Getting ready to hold tight
Waiting and waiting nothing comes
Then I know it’s all right
No more pain no more sadness
Now it’s your time to pay
Knowing you’ll be in pain now
Makes me feel everything’s okay
