Old Soul

Young in Skin
full of elasticity
But when I look in the mirror
an old woman stares back at me
So few years young
yet I feel so old
My peers prefer the heat
while I bask in the cold
Someday their eyes
will fade with their age
As the light of their youth
is left on the previous page
I will wave to them
as that time draws near
Then I will look in the mirror
my eyes shining without a tear
