Give in to love, or live in fear

I know what you say
If you knew how I write
I know how you’d yell
Just to stir up a fight

You set out to break me
With cruel cutting words
You always betray me
And you know how that hurts

Those names that you call me
The cutting remarks
The nasty side comments
That tear me apart

You think that you’re heaven
And I should bow down
Golly, I try
But I’m all turned around

I feel like you’ve slapped me
By the look on your face
I feel like I’m dying
As you watch me break

I try to help you
And give you all I’ve got
I tell you I love you
And get no response

I know I’m not perfect
But I try all I can
I try to be like you
Because it’s me you banned

I don’t know how
I can make amends
I’d do flips over backwards
Again and again

Ther are so many things
I want to discuss
But how can I tell you
When you have no trust

You acuse me of everything
Even when I do as you do
You call me a hypocrite
But what about you

You who are mighty
Who I look to as God
You who belittles me
Until I’m under the sod

So you not see
how hard I try?
But you just stand there
And claim I live a lie

I try to be honest
But you never believe me
I try to explain
But you never try to see

Should I leave this letter
Upon your front step
You’d be offended
Then tell all your friends

Someday I’ll tell you
All that I feel
And maybe you’ll listen
As I share my speal

Or maybe you wont
You’ll just turn away
And decide the futures no different
Than today and yesterday
