you, you, you
You took lessons on the piano when you were little
 I taught myself to play
In any spare time I had
In my 4th grade day to day

 You had the A+ average
I fight to keep my A
 I fight with every breath
In my high school day to day

You came in the top of every single race
I try not to walk, to hold place, to stay
 To finish
In the cross country day to day

You were the perfect angel who never made a mistake
I try and try and cry and cry until my puny heart breaks

For there is no day to day
When they all blend and die
 To my never ceasing efforts
 That are constantly denied
