Don’t be the one to tell him
That the storm will fade away
If the earth has already decided
Upon the absence of sunny days
Don’t be the one to tell him
People will actually care
Don’t hold back the truth:
Life will never be fair
Don’t be the one to tell him
That he can sail the seas
Because you know that if he drowns
One horrible soul yours will be
Don’t tell him that you’ll always be here
Because you know it isn’t true
Someday you’ll have to split apart
Just like me and you.
