I fell in love on the seaside
His toes covered mine
And we left footprints in the sand
Until the tide came
And drenched us both.
I fell in love in the park
He picked leaves out of my hair
And we climbed the sycamore trees
Until the wind came
And blew us away.
I fell in love in the desert
His bronzed shoulder rubbed against mine
And we shook sand out of our pants
Until the night came
And made us invisible.
I fell in love in the mountains
His steamy breath rose to the heavens
And we shivered in rhythm
Until the snow came
And silenced us,
Forever.
