I Wish Tomorrow Would Pass Me By

I wish tomorrow would pass me by
Like a nightmare you don’t remember
Of German tests and lessons on trig,
Neither of which I understand.
I wish tomorrow would pass me by,
Like the pain of a doctor’s injection,
Awkward conversation that prickle the skin
And make me wish I hadn’t started.
