Loneliness

Loneliness

 echoes in a silent room,
A presence shaped by its hollow gloom.
Not merely the state of being

 alone,
But the yearning ache for a bond unknown.

It whispers loud in a crowded space,
Where strangers' faces leave no trace.
A reminder, deep and starkly clear,
That human hearts need to feel near.

It steals the light, breeds doubt and despair,
A thief that leaves you gasping for air.
Yet in its shadow, a mirror appears,
Revealing truths behind hidden fears.

In solitude’s grip, raw and unmasked,
You meet yourself, a daunting task.
Empowered yet terrified, fragile yet whole,
Loneliness sculpts the edges of your soul.

It’s a shared path, though cloaked in disguise,
A universal bond beneath the skies.
Yet its weight feels like a silent shame,
A weakness feared, an unspoken name.

Still, in its depth, a strange beauty gleams,
A reminder of love and its priceless dreams.
For in the void lies a seed of light,
To emerge anew from the shadowed night.

Loneliness,

 both loss and hope entwined,
A haunting teacher, a force refined.
It shapes us to cherish, to see, to connect,
A poignant gift we often forget.
