"It Always Seems Impossible Until It Is Done."
Nelson Mandela

Scorn me! For the insidious goddess did beguile my fickle breast!

Oh! Wallow me in sorrow, for she shrouded your love of which I am now bereft

But the alluring bawd was a mere star in distant twinkle while you burn a flaming sun

Ever since I remain guilty, reminiscing your caress like bittersweet passions now undone

Before, you rendered me merry and you put me through hell

Yet remained I transfixed by your inamorata’s taunting spell

Dear angel! Light the world again, for my mind is tortured by your silhouette

Let not this love so powerful end in tragedy, me Romeo and you Juliet

For selfishly I yearn for you, forsake me our last farewell

Let my pen glorify you in silky words, me its ruler and your intimate boswell

But is it perhaps too late, for what knight now shields your heart?

Are you his sovereign in the castle of love whose bricks I vainly claw apart?

Insolent muse! Why can’t your lungs fill with the breath of my rejected apologies?

Why can’t you return as the sun of my universe, the quiddity of cosmologies?

Oh those wasted times, when my whispers warmed a stranger's tender ear

When deceit tainted my visage and my cheek wore another's lipstick smear

But those fires were not delicate passions-play, but rather bitter scald

Her careful love letters were nothing more than banal scrawl

See? Like dust in the wind, I've discarded the past

Why can't you? Let not this correspondence be our last

For I would rather die than envy he who’s become your dove

Letting the stars claim my soul as I ascend to the lonely above
