Loss in Love

My heart has splintered,
each fracture carved by the love
I felt for you.
When I see you in her arms,
each one deepens

How come the pain
is so strong
when I knew you were never mine?

How come every time
I see her in your arms,
my heart fills with envy?

The pain, the pain so strong
that tears away my heart,
it is unbearable,
yet every time I see your smile,
I forget
and I want to see it again
and again.

But when I'm alone,
I remember,
and the pain grows stronger
and stronger,
a wave that cannot be stopped.

lol, no, I didn't feel it first hand. it was inspired by a friend, she was having a hard time. thanks so much! You have no idea how much it means when people say these types of things! :)
