Continuing
In the morning my body begins to wake
Out of bed walking to the door
The howling wind blows through tearing down the drape.
Filling the room with its fear, from the ceiling to the floor.
Walking back into the room where I reside
Going to the window and I just stare
Looking at life take over the lakeside
Watching the games being played by the tortoise and the hare.
Heading to the kitchen where I put the kettle on
Waiting for the water I look at the picture of my love
Dazed into the times that have gone
The screaming kettle snaps me out of her life from above
Cooling the water as it pours into the cup
Waiting for the leaves to do its job
I think about the life I live hoping things clear up
I hope to forget as my head begins to throb
Drinking from the cup I remember what she had
The flames from the stove warm me as they dance
Feeling better than ever I remembered why she was my comrade
the smile on her face when I gave her this chance
I told myself something that day
That I will continue for her
I will be here and remember to stay
For her I will do anything I say
