Colorful Dreams
Colors.
Red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green,
Blue,
Purple.
A collage of color swirls around
Me,
Inviting me to a place
Reality cannot reach.
The colors fade ever so slightly,
Into a pastel world of my creation.
A representation of my sub-consciousness.
People of fantasy and people I’ve never seen,
Appear
Into my little world.
There was peace, happiness, love
Amongst us,
The dream people.
Whoosh and
Bang! Bang! Bang! Sounds as the world grows bigger.
Buildings of wood and brick rise from the ground,
Housing my dream people.
They make me their leader and I am queen.
I bow my head, I receive my crown, and declare peace to all, only to wake up,
To a world where there is little peace.
To a world where there is little unity.
To a world where there is little acceptance.
To a world where there is little creativity.
I just want the world to be just like in my dream,
But that’ll never happen if I do it alone.
I just want to see people like the dream people,
But that’ll never happen unless I look.
