Low self esteem can be caused by many different things. I would really like to help people improve their low self esteem because i know many people who have struggled with it. Here are 7 ways to help you improve your low self esteem.

Think about what is affecting your self esteem
What is affecting your self esteem could be different for everyone. Most of the people i know are mostly influenced by negative influences and jealousy, which make their self esteem lower. Sometimes, people with this problem find it really hard to feel good with who they are. It can be helpful to keep telling yourself no matter what that you are loved and deserve to be happy. If things like social media or jealousy  are affecting your self esteem, such as comparing yourself to the perfect, photoshopped instagram models, than you need to tell yourself your criticizing yourself from an unrealistic standpoint and stop doing it.

Avoid negative self talk
Avoiding negative self talk will help improve more than just your self esteem, it will boost your self respect, your moods, and the way that other people look at you. Start to focus more on the positives and less negatives. In my opinion, i think every single person on this earth has at least one thing that is beautiful about them. It could be anything; what your good at, your appearance, your personality, etc., you just need to try to find something about you that you like.

Connect with people who love you
Sometimes, it can be hard to find people you connect well with. If there’s one person that you connect well with, try your best to build a stronger relationship with them.  Don't want to surround yourself with people who will criticize and bring you down. Building a strong  relationship with people that care about and support you will influence your self esteem in a very positive way. You will overtime realize that you are so very loved.

Learn to be confident in yourself
Learning to be confident in yourself with definitely help how others see you. The more confident you are, the better others will treat you. Being confident in yourself will help you learn that even though you may not be perfect, you know you have positive things about you. You can't change yourself completely, so why not be confident in what you have?

Set yourself goals and challenges
Setting yourself goals and challenges can a be very helpful contributor to positive self esteem. For example, i have a friend who isn't happy with her body shape. I think that if your not happy with your body, then you should try and set yourself a goal to eat healthy and exercise when you can. In this time period, you can never be skinny enough, or your too skinny. It doesn't matter what you look like, there is always something about you people love. Block out the negatives, and do the best you can do.

Take care of yourself
Taking care of yourself is one of the most important things you can do. Eat healthy, shower regularly, exercise, even things like building healthy friendships and cleaning all the negative things out of your life can be a way to better take care of yourself. Don't struggle to be perfect, because no one is as unique as you.

Get support
If things get too hard to handle, you should get support. Getting support from friends, family members or doctors will be best for you because you can always count on them to show you the love and affection you deserve.

Overall, i think everyone deserves to know how beautiful, loved and cared about they are. You should learn to love and accept yourself the way you are, instead of trying to change because you think it will make you better.
