5 Letters to Jordan
1
Dear MJ,
I just want to thank you for inspiring Nike
to create one of the best basketball shoes ever made.
I love how the Air Jordan 1s were created
with the Nike Air sign on the mesh, instead of the jumpman.
Although you ARE the jumpman
and we LOVE the jumpman,
this was a totally cool shoe.
2
Dear MJ
I just thought about you again
and how you couldn’t wear the Air Jordan 2s
on the court.
That was the only Air Jordan that was made in Italy
(for that luxurious feeling),
bummer that you broke your leg that season.
How does it feel to have your own shoes and can’t even wear them?
I bet that was frustrating.
3
Dear MJ
I’m not a huge fan of the Air Jordan 5’s
but I can’t blame you
for putting your name on yet another shoe.
(Does it ever get old?)
Ha! Bet not, must be nice.
I do like the Air Jordan 5 x Supreme collaboration.
From 1989 to 2015, what a run.
(No pun intended)
4
Dear MJ,
Hare Jordan 7s!
Oops, I mean Air Jordan 7s.
Space Jam, Barcelona,
(Olympics, Baby!)
and Bugs Bunny in the ads-
SO extra.
The sideways 23 in the back,
the pattern on the sole,
PLEASE tell me you designed these
yourself.
So awesome to have.
(I wish)
5
Dear MJ,
Sorry about that last letter,
I got a little carried away.
Back to business.
Let’s talk about the Air Jordan 12s.
How does one of the most athletic dudes
EVER
have a shoe named after him inspired by
a 19th century women's shoe?
(And by the Japanese flag,
how does that even work?)
But work it did - no Nike branding,
all you, Jumpman.
Number 23, I salute you.
