The Man Who Forgot His Name
In the night
A man lies
Under the polluted sky
On the streets
Nowhere to hide
But he's not to complain
He doesn't go through the daily strain
Of maintaining a job and pay
Who's to say
The man who forgot his name struggles too
Stumbling in alleys
Just make it through
He tells himself
Day after day
What year is it?
He hasn't got a clue
Now he needs food
He'll keep begging, maybe get a dollar or two
The man who forgot his name struggles too
It's been so long
Since what's his name had a son
Now it's too late
He can't seem to find fate
Is there anything else he can do?
The man who forgot his name struggles too

I always feel bad when passing a homeless person on the streets. I wrote this poem as my interpretation of a certain homeless man's life.
